Hey y'all, Tyler here, and it's been quite the weekend. My mom had her childhood friend over for the vacation along with two of her 6 kids and, needless to say, in this small house it was quite hectic. To top it off my niece Hailey was over for the weekend too, but the kids spent most of the time on the beach finding crabs and other creepy crawlies.

I spent the weekend digging up our septic system for the second time this year, and I'm confident that this time we fixed it well enough to last until my dad can survey the possibilities of getting a whole new one installed. In the process I acquired my first sun burn of the summer on most of my arms, face, neck, and legs, which is now peeling to a pearly white - just wonderful.

I also had the opportunity to splash around in raw sewage while digging a 3 foot wide hole deeper than I am tall. Someone decided it would be a fun prank if they turned the sink on while I was digging said hole with the outflow pipe from the septic tank at waist level. The...fluid...gushed out, hit my shorts, and went straight down into my rubber boot. I couldn't just jump out of the way either, I was digging below the water table and if I stopped the hole would have filled in and we would have had to start over. So I dug for a while longer, and stood on the barrel we were burying, while my boot was sloshing this stuff all around my leg up to my knee, so it wouldn't float and my dad could fill in dirt around it. What a day.

Today was kind of a bummer though, we drove over to The Trading Post over by the casino on highway 20 to buy a couple cigars, and when we walked in the cigarette shelves behind the counter, and the shelves in the humidity controlled cigar room, were near empty. When we asked the guy why, he told us that they were "getting out of the tobacco business". Kind of sad for me, I really liked that place, they had some great cigars.

On the bright side, later today my new power supply will be delivered and I will be able to see if the bad PSU harmed any of my other hardware. Hopefully not, as I haven't seen any visible physical damage on anything. Also, my Razer Deathadder reached it's destination in Olean New York today, and hopefully it's replacement will be on it's way to me soon.

Well, I figured it's about time to put another news thing up here, as I am tired of catching myself half-way done reading the news before i realize OH YEAH this is my site, I wrote that, and I was stupid to write it in the first place!

So here I am writing to all you people up there in city hall (you're fuckin' it up for the people thats in the streets), to tell you that my computer is a heap of trash that needs a new graphics card. I can't launch any 3d games without them instantly triggering a crash resulting in either a VPU recovery or a lockup. So you won't see me rocking any pubs, or healing any raids; instead I will be whoring forums like nobody's business! Starting with this one, the beloved Horde of Nightmares Community Forums!

Oh, and my birthday is the 19th, yay! Thanks again for the LAN!

PZ,
Tyler

I am taking a HTML and CSS college course because it is required for my degree and from what I have learned I cannot "test through" it because there are no other higher web design classes in my degree. This means that, for the class, I need to create a fully functional web page with at least four pages. While that is EXTREMELY TOUGH for me to do (lol) I will suffer through and try my damnedest to create a new version of this site (rofl).

Honestly, however, there may not be much improvement of the front-end (client side) code, meaning not much visual differences. However the back-end (server side) code will be revamped with new PHP5 and will be much less stressful on the server, as well as load faster for all of you. I will also try to create a user systemfor the site, a comment system for the news, and other fun things like that.

I came across some excellent web software today. Mind42.com. Mind mapping in a web application that allows collaboration between groups of people too.

Mind Maps can be stored on their web server, or you can download them to your PC and import them later.

Another cool feature is that you can publish your mind maps so that people can view them, but not edit them. For Example, Here is my Mind Map for a business I would someday like to run.

This software is very useful and way easier to use than trying to make a mindmap with publisher, word, or any other office program.

I found the way to track the mouse position correctly in Internet Explorer. So, I know that the rating system works in the latest versions of IE and FF. Awesomeness.

The differences are that in Firefox the mouse position is tracked by event.clientX and event.clientY ... however in Internet explorer it is window.event.clientX and window.event.clientY. It works a lot better in internet explorer with this latest upgrade.

----EDIT---- Nevermind, this kind of sucks, Internet explorer isn't very good at tracking the mouse psition when the page has been scrolled.

Ima work on this because I think it may be some conflicting code that needs review.
